Stadium Iza Vage
The beginning of football in Metković can be traced back to 1919, when the Narona football club was founded , and in 1945 it changed its name to Neretva , and the following year it received the land on which the stadium is located today. Its construction lasted from 1955 to 1971, and today it consists of a football field measuring 105 x 68 meters, a locker room and club facilities, and eastern and western concrete stands that can accommodate about 2,000 spectators. The stadium is now surrounded by the Vaga building complex , an elementary school, and residential buildings on Sportska Street. In 2008, a lighted field with artificial grass was built next to the western stands. It is interesting that in the mid-1990s, the Neretva football club competed in the first Croatian football league, and throughout its history, the club has produced numerous famous players such as Andrija Anković, Igor Štimac, and Dario Srna. Today, the stadium, in addition to the men's football club, is also used by the women's football club.
