Department store

One of the most significant examples of contemporary architecture from the 1980s is the then Razvitko Robna kuća, one of the most important commercial enterprises. It is located directly on the left bank of the Neretva River on the main road, and was designed by architects Ante Paljaga and Slobodan Korać. The Neretva boat, a traditional vessel in the Neretva Valley, was used as inspiration for the design of the outer shell. Thus, the complex of the department store and former restaurant has a roof in the shape of two upside-down Neretva boats, fitting perfectly into the environment.
