Everything is ready for a real Christmas fairy tale that begins on Friday in the City Park in Metković. Namely, on Friday, December 6, the Christmas houses will start operating, and the ice rink will also open.

Christmas and New Year's decorations, a rich catering offer of food and drinks, a diverse program and an attractive ice rink will once again contribute to making the City Park one of the most popular locations for the 'Advent Metković' event.

On the opening day itself, visitors can expect real fun, starting at 2:30 PM when the Christmas houses and the ice rink open. The ice rink will be open until 10:00 PM, with the first skating session of the day starting at 3 PM and the last at 9 PM. Skate rental for children under 14 years of age is €2.00, and for adults – €3.00. Tickets cannot be reserved, but must be purchased at the box office located next to the ice rink. Entry to the ice rink is on the hour, and skating lasts 40 minutes. The ice rink will be open until January 5, when the Christmas houses are also open this year. Fritters, sausages, and mulled wine are just some of the things you will be able to taste at the houses. The houses are open until midnight!

From December 6th to January 5th, various concerts and programs will be held in the park. On the opening day, St. Nicholas will arrive at the City Park at 3:30 PM and will delight the youngest with gifts. Giuliano will entertain us from 8 PM. An unforgettable atmosphere awaits us with hits that have marked the local music scene! 'Jugo', 'Srna i vuk', 'Dobro mi došla ljubavi' are just part of the repertoire that guarantees us an evening filled with emotions, dance and unforgettable music.

On Saturday, December 7th, the Hypnotic Band will perform a concert, and during the event we can also expect concerts by the legendary Atomski sklonište, Klapa 'Iskon', Alan Hržica, Elvis Sršen, and the groups Imagine, Jexy and Pacific Bullets.

The program of the 'Advent Metković' event this weekend is also being held at the City Cultural Center. On Saturday, December 7th at 5 pm, a fairy-tale play for children 'How the Elf Saved Christmas 2 – Case: The Lost Snowflake' is scheduled, and admission is free. At 8 pm, the hit play 'Free is the Most Expensive' is scheduled, starring Faris Pinjo and Konstantin Haag. On Sunday, December 8th at 7 pm, the audience will be able to enjoy a concert by the Mandolin Orchestra of the Metković Cultural Center.
